Welcome to Lingley Bros. Sweetcorn

Image

We update this page daily after we get done in the field.  This is usually no later than 9:30 AM.  We are at our stands daily by 10 AM (depending on corn availability, closed on Sundays)

Please take a moment to find us on our  FaceBook page.  Even if you don't have a facebook account, you can still check it out.  If you are already on FaceBook, become a fan and know what's going on every day at LBS!

Video of sweetcorn planting:

What happens to the leftovers and the rejects?  Why Porky, of course.  Her standards are much lower.

Porky was an 11 year old pet pig.  She was the runt of her litter and Katie, who was two at the time, had to keep her.  She cleaned up the leftovers for 11 years, entertaining everyone with her rotten tomato eating style.

We are Cornjerkers

ImageLingley Bros. is keeping the Cornjerker tradition alive in Hoopeston.  On a normal morning at 5 A.M. we will hand pick over four thousand ears of corn.  A crew of four to eight can accomplish this in about two or three hours.  We start in the dark, pick in the rain and mud...whatever it takes to get the harvest complete.
